Halle Bailey: Becoming a Mother Made My Fashion Style Bolder

Secondupdate.com – Actress and singer Halle Bailey revealed that since becoming a mother, her fashion style has changed significantly.

In an interview with People on Saturday (May 10), the Little Mermaid star said that the birth of her son, Halo, has made her feel more confident in expressing her personal style.

“I want to be bolder and more striking, especially through jewelry,” Bailey said.

According to her, becoming a mother has actually made her enjoy dressing up more. She feels happy to be more stylish and to wear various bold accessories.

“He absolutely loves everything that sparkles and shines,” Bailey said enthusiastically.

Earlier this week, Halle Bailey stunned at the 2025 Met Gala. She wore a custom Coach outfit and lab-grown diamond jewelry from Zales.

Her appearance matched this year’s Met Gala theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” with the dress code “Tailored for You.”

At the event, Bailey wore a two-tone peplum blazer embellished with beads, paired with a glittering mini dress and high heels. She completed the glamorous look with marquise-, radiant-, and emerald-cut diamond rings and earrings.

Despite wearing luxurious jewelry, Bailey said that two things truly make her shine: her son, Halo, and her career.

Currently, Bailey is enjoying her journey as a new mother while looking forward to new adventures with Halo.

In addition to working on new music, Bailey is also involved in several film projects. She will star in a musical comedy produced by A24 alongside Julianne Moore and Jesse Eisenberg.

She is also scheduled to film in Italy for a project titled Italianna, where she will act opposite Regé-Jean Page. Details about the film are still being kept under wraps.
