Cha Eun-woo Enlists in the Military Band, Selection Results to Be Announced on May 29

Secondupdate.com – Cha Eun-woo, a South Korean singer and actor, has recently applied to fulfill his mandatory military service in the Army’s military band unit. This news was announced by his agency, Fantagio, on Friday (May 9).

In an official statement quoted by Soompi, Fantagio explained that Cha Eun-woo had participated in an interview as part of the selection process.

"The results of the interview will be announced on May 29, so we cannot provide further details at this time as it is still uncertain whether he has been accepted," the agency stated.

According to information from the Military Manpower Administration of South Korea, applications to join the military band were open in March and April. The interviews for applicants, including Cha Eun-woo, were held on May 9.

If accepted, Cha Eun-woo is scheduled to begin his military service in the Army’s military band starting in July 2025.

For your information, Cha Eun-woo is a member of the group ASTRO and has also been active as a solo artist since his solo debut in 2024.
