Secondupdate.com – Linkin Park successfully held a concert in Jakarta on Sunday night (Feb 16), opening with the song Somewhere I Belong.

Thousands of fans who packed Stadion Madya Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) erupted into cheers as they welcomed the legendary American band.

Currently, Linkin Park consists of Emily Armstrong (vocals), Mike Shinoda (rapper), Colin Brittain (drums), Brad Delson (keyboard), and Joe Hahn (DJ).

This marked their first performance in Jakarta with Emily as the lead vocalist, following a seven-year hiatus after the passing of Chester Bennington in 2017.

The concert began around 8:15 PM WIB, with all band members dressed in all-black outfits. Fans immediately joined in singing every lyric of Somewhere I Belong, which was released in 2003.

After that, Linkin Park continued their performance with several hit songs, including Crawling and New Divide.

Not only did they play their classic hits, but they also performed a new song titled The Emptiness Machine from their latest album, From Zero.

Mike Shinoda encouraged the audience to sing along.

"If you know the lyrics, please help us sing," he said on stage.

This concert was part of the From Zero World Tour, held to celebrate the release of their latest album. Jakarta was the only city in Southeast Asia included in the tour.
