Korean Entertainment Industry Mourns as Actress Kim Sae-ron Passes Away at 24

Secondupdate.com – The South Korean entertainment industry is mourning the passing of young actress Kim Sae-ron on Sunday (February 16), 2025. She was found lifeless at her home in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, at around 4:55 PM local time.

Her passing was first discovered by a friend who was scheduled to meet her that day.

According to police reports, no signs of foul play were found at the scene. However, authorities are still investigating to determine the exact cause of her death.

Kim Sae-ron's Career Journey

Kim Sae-ron was known as a talented actress who began her career at a young age. She gained widespread recognition after starring in the film The Man from Nowhere. She also appeared in several other popular films and dramas, including The Neighbors, Barbie, The Queen’s Classroom, and Secret Healer.

However, her career faced challenges due to legal issues. In April 2023, Kim Sae-ron was charged with driving under the influence, with a blood alcohol level exceeding 0.2 percent—far above the legal limit of 0.08 percent. As a result, she was fined 20 million won (approximately IDR 225.9 million).

Following the incident, Kim Sae-ron publicly apologized through a handwritten letter posted on her Instagram account, @ron_sae. She also decided to withdraw from the drama Trolley and briefly worked part-time at a café.

In April 2024, she attempted to return to acting but had to step back again due to health issues.

Kim Sae-ron was born on July 31, 2000. Her passing at such a young age is a deep loss for her fans and the South Korean entertainment industry.
