Kim Ji Won Considers the Role of a Genius Doctor in a Medical Noir Drama

Secondupdate.com – Actress Kim Ji Won, born on October 19, 1992, has recently received an offer to play the lead role in the medical drama Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia.

In this drama, she has been offered the role of Gye Soo Jung, a genius surgeon who chooses to isolate herself due to her dark past. With her exceptional surgical skills, Gye Soo Jung dares to confront the corrupt medical world.

This news was first reported by STARNEWS on February 14, 2025. Kim Ji Won’s agency, HighZium Studio, confirmed that the actress is currently considering the offer positively. If she accepts the role, filming is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2025, and the drama is planned to air on SBS.

Previously, Kim Ji Won successfully portrayed Hong Hae In in the drama Queen of Tears (2024), where she starred alongside actor Kim Soo Hyun. After the drama ended, she embarked on her first Asia fan meeting tour, including a visit to Indonesia to meet her fans in person.

The role of Gye Soo Jung in Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia would be a new challenge for Kim Ji Won, as this character differs from her previous roles. Fans are eagerly awaiting her final decision and hope to see her return to the screen with an exciting new role.
