SecondUpdate.com – A surprise has emerged ahead of the Hammersonic Festival 2026. Norwegian black metal band Carpathian Forest has been confirmed to cancel their appearance, despite previously being listed in the lineup.

Originally, Carpathian Forest was scheduled to perform on Saturday, May 2, 2026. However, as the event approached, their name suddenly disappeared from the official lineup. This immediately sparked various questions among fans.

On social media, especially Instagram, many fans highlighted the band’s absence. Several comments questioned what had actually happened, with some expressing disappointment after eagerly anticipating their performance.

As of now, there has been no official statement from the promoter regarding the specific reason behind the cancellation. This has left fans speculating.

Previously, the promoter had indicated that there would be changes to the lineup. Ravel Entertainment CEO, Ravel Junardy, stated that several international artists had canceled due to factors beyond the promoter’s control.

He explained that the global geopolitical situation is one of the main reasons, affecting the attendance of several musicians at the festival.

Despite these changes, Hammersonic 2026 will still go ahead with an updated lineup. Attendees can still enjoy performances from various other metal bands set to take the stage.

However, for many fans, the absence of Carpathian Forest remains a significant loss at one of the biggest metal festivals in Indonesia.
