Byeon Woo Seok Donates Rp300 Million for Children, Invites Fandom to Join the Charity Effort

SecondUpdate.com – South Korean actor Byeon Woo Seok has once again shown his concern for social causes. The star of the drama Lovely Runner recently made a donation to launch a charity campaign initiated by his fans.

The fundraising campaign was started by his fandom called “Byeon Woo Seok and Tongtong,” also known as Woo Che Tong. The fan community invited fellow supporters to participate in sharing and helping children in need.

According to the Korea Social Welfare Society, Byeon Woo Seok donated 30 million won, or around Rp300 million, as the initial contribution to kick off the program.

The donation campaign officially began on March 15 and will run for eight days. The funds collected will be used to purchase school supplies for children who are struggling to prepare for the upcoming school term.

Not only are they raising funds, but members of the fandom also plan to take part directly in the initiative. After the donation period ends, they will volunteer to help pack the school supply kits before distributing them to the children.

When Byeon Woo Seok learned about the positive initiative from his fans, he immediately joined the campaign by making a significant donation as a show of support.

The actor is widely known for his involvement in charitable activities. Earlier this year, he donated 100 million won to support vulnerable teenage girls. He also contributed another 100 million won to help cover medical treatment for children and teenagers.

Byeon Woo Seok’s kindness is not only directed toward the general public but also toward his fans. He once sent a congratulatory flower arrangement to one of his early fans who got married, especially because the fan had supported him since the beginning of his career.

Charitable collaborations between the actor and his fandom have happened several times before. In April last year, after Byeon Woo Seok donated 100 million won to help victims of a forest fire, his fandom voluntarily raised an additional 30 million won in donations.

A similar situation occurred again earlier this year when the actor donated funds for pediatric and teenage patients. Within just two days, his fans managed to collect an additional 10 million won.

The collaboration between Byeon Woo Seok and his fandom is considered a positive example of the influence a public figure can have. Rather than simply supporting their idol’s career, fans are also taking part in meaningful social activities that benefit many people.
