Lee Dong Wook Returns to Romantic Drama, Reviews Offer for Love Affair

SecondUpdate.com – Renowned South Korean actor Lee Dong Wook is once again in the spotlight. He is reportedly considering an offer to star in a new romantic drama tentatively titled Love Affair.

The news surfaced on Tuesday (February 3) and was directly confirmed by Lee Dong Wook’s agency, Kingkong by Starship. The agency stated that the actor has indeed received the offer and is currently reviewing it carefully.

In the drama, Lee Dong Wook has been offered the role of Kim Ji Hoon, a successful and well-established man who appears to have a perfect family life. However, his world begins to crumble when he becomes involved in a forbidden relationship that ultimately leads to a major scandal. This decision puts all of his achievements at risk of collapsing.

In addition to Lee Dong Wook, the production team is also reported to have extended an offer to actress Gong Hyo Jin to play the female lead. She is expected to portray an architect who unexpectedly falls in love with Kim Ji Hoon—a man she should never be able to have.

Love Affair will be directed by Mo Wan Il, a prominent figure in the Korean drama industry who previously found great success with the hit series The World of the Married. His involvement has further heightened anticipation for the drama among K-drama fans.

Beyond the two lead roles, the production team is currently in the process of casting several supporting characters. However, no additional names have been officially announced so far.
