SecondUpdate.com — The long-awaited news has finally arrived. Global South Korean girl group BLACKPINK has officially announced their comeback after nearly three years of hiatus as a group.
Jennie, Jisoo, Rose, and Lisa will return to greet fans through their latest mini album titled DEADLINE, which is scheduled for release on February 27, 2026.
On Wednesday (January 14), YG Entertainment released a short teaser video as a sign of BLACKPINK’s return to the music industry.
Although the teaser is only around 19 seconds long and does not yet reveal any visual concept or song snippets, it was more than enough to send BLINK, BLACKPINK’s fandom into a frenzy on social media.
The comment sections were instantly flooded with enthusiastic reactions. Many fans admitted that they can’t wait for their idols’ latest release.
However, quite a number of BLINK also expressed their hope that BLACKPINK would release a full-length album instead of just a mini album.
Since releasing their album Born Pink in September 2022, the four members have mostly been busy with solo activities.
Each member has successfully developed their individual careers, Rose with her album Rosie, Jisoo through Amortage, Lisa with Ego, and Jennie with her album Ruby.
Even so, BLACKPINK released the digital single “Jump” in July 2025 and performed it during their BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR ‘DEADLINE’, which concluded in early January 2026.
This comeback marks an important moment for BLACKPINK, considering they are one of the most influential K-pop girl groups in the world.
The release of the mini album DEADLINE is predicted to once again dominate global music charts and set various new records.
Now, BLINK around the world are counting down the days to February 27, 2026. Will BLACKPINK bring a brand-new concept different from before? All will be revealed when DEADLINE is officially released.
