The story was shared by a catering staff member at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City named Robyn Gentry. Through a social media post, she recounted her unforgettable experience of meeting Taylor Swift in person on Christmas Day.

The incident took place after the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Denver Broncos, which was held on December 25. Taylor Swift attended the match to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. After the game, Swift was seen leaving the stadium alongside Travis’s mother, Donna Kelce. 

On her way out, Taylor Swift took the time to greet stadium workers who were on duty during the holiday. One of them was Robyn Gentry. According to Gentry, Swift wished her a Merry Christmas and thanked her for working on such a special day.

In addition to her kind words, Taylor Swift also gave her a cash tip of US$600, or roughly Rp10 million. According to Gentry, the amount was equal to her earnings for two weeks of work.

At first, Gentry admitted she did not immediately realize how much money she had received. However, after checking the contents of the envelope, she was overwhelmed with emotion. The money meant a great deal to her, as she had just spent a similar amount to cover Christmas needs for her eight children.

She decided to save most of the money, but chose to frame one US$100 bill as a valuable keepsake from Taylor Swift. She later shared the story on social media so that others who appreciate acts of kindness could feel the moment as well.

Gentry described Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce as sincere and empathetic individuals who genuinely care about others. Her post quickly went viral and received an outpouring of positive responses from netizens.

Taylor Swift’s generosity ahead of Christmas did not stop there. Previously, several humanitarian and social organizations had also announced that they received major donations from the Love Story singer.

One of them was the American Heart Association, which revealed that Taylor Swift donated US$1 million. The donation was said to be a tribute to Swift’s father, Scott Swift, who underwent heart surgery earlier this year.
