SecondUpdate.com – The independent music scene has once again delivered an exciting surprise. This time, it comes from a cross-country collaboration between Thai soloist James Alyn and London-based pop band PREP.

This unexpected partnership has produced a new song titled “Don’t Worry”, which immediately caught the attention of music lovers from Asia to the UK.

“Don’t Worry” presents a warm and soothing musical blend. The soft pop, funk, and PREP’s signature soul elements intertwine seamlessly with James Alyn’s gentle and emotional vocal style. The result is a piece that feels intimate, personal, and easily connects with the listener’s emotions.

Behind the creation of this song, James Alyn revealed that his greatest inspiration came from an emotional experience with a fan. During a meeting, the fan shared how James Alyn’s songs had helped them endure the most challenging moments of their life.

This story left a deep impression and became the foundation for writing “Don’t Worry.” Through this song, James Alyn aims to bring a sense of calm and hope to anyone struggling through difficult situations.

For the former member of the duo HYBS, fan support is more than mere appreciation, it is the main energy that drives him to keep creating. This is clearly reflected in the meaningful lyrics and expressions of gratitude, including lines that convey loyalty and unconditional presence for his listeners.

Interestingly, this collaboration was not planned from the start. The creative process for “Don’t Worry” actually began during a relaxed moment after a concert. At the time, James Alyn was the opening act for PREP’s show in Taipei.

After the performance, James Alyn and PREP’s members gathered at Kuo from Sunset Rollercoaster’s home. Without any serious concept, they simply had a light jam session and recorded a few ideas spontaneously.

Time passed. A year later, James Alyn rediscovered the audio recordings from that night in the form of a voice memo. From there, he began reorganizing and developing the ideas until finally forming “Don’t Worry” as it is heard today.

Musically, the song offers a rich structure with layers of delicate synthesizers and a naturally flowing groove, making it feel timeless while remaining relevant to modern musical tastes.

Currently, James Alyn is in a highly productive phase as a solo artist, especially after the end of the HYBS duo journey that had taken him to international stages. As a solo musician, he has more freedom to explore various musical colors, ranging from nostalgic tones to fresh, new experiments.

In every performance, James Alyn is known for building a strong connection with the audience. Supported by a backing band that has accompanied him for over a decade, he succeeds in creating immersive and emotionally charged concert experiences.

The collaboration with PREP through “Don’t Worry” proves that music can bridge distances and cultures. More than just a song, this work serves as a warm embrace for anyone in need of encouragement.
