Secondupdate.com – The latest Korean drama series titled Delusion has officially begun production and immediately captured public attention.

This is due to the casting of two of South Korea’s top stars, Bae Suzy and Kim Seon-ho, who previously gained massive popularity for their roles in the drama Start-Up.

In Delusion, Bae Suzy plays a vampire named Song Jeong-hwa, while Kim Seon-ho portrays a painter named Yun I-ho. The story is adapted from a popular webtoon of the same name, as reported by CNA on Friday, May 23, 2025.

The drama centers around the life of Jeong-hwa, a vampire experiencing deep sorrow.

She then asks I-ho to paint her portrait, but the painter's presence ends up bringing a major change in Jeong-hwa’s life, making her start to feel emotions she hasn’t experienced in a long time.

Delusion is directed and written by Han Jae-rim. Many fans are hoping the series will replicate the success Bae Suzy and Kim Seon-ho enjoyed in Start-Up, which was once hugely popular.

The drama also forms part of Disney+’s strategy to expand its library of high-quality Korean dramas. Previously, Disney+ premiered Nine Puzzles on May 21, starring Kim Da-mi and Son Suk-ku.

With its unique storyline—centered on the romance between a vampire and a painter—and the appearance of two top-tier actors, Delusion is predicted to attract viewers from around the world.
