Secondupdate.com - Spider-Man fans, get ready! The fourth Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland has finally started filming and is titled "Spider-Man: Brand New Day." The film is scheduled to begin shooting this summer.

The film's director, Destin Daniel Cretton, announced this information at the CinemaCon event in Las Vegas.

"I've spent my time exploring the next phase of this amazing character with the most incredible team of artists in the world."

Although Cretton did not reveal the full cast, many fans are hoping that Zendaya and Jacob Batalon will return to reprise their roles as MJ and Ned, Peter Parker’s close friends. There are also rumors that Sadie Sink has joined the cast, although her role has not been announced. Some speculate that Sadie might play Jean Grey, a mutant from X-Men.

Tom Holland, who was not present at CinemaCon, sent a video message to greet the fans.

This film will be a continuation of Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), which ended with Peter Parker making a big decision to erase the memory of Spider-Man’s identity from everyone’s mind.

Although the plot for the fourth film is still under wraps, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to release on July 31, 2026.

Tom Holland’s previous Spider-Man films have been huge box office successes. Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) grossed $880 million, Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) earned $1.13 billion, and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) collected $1.9 billion worldwide.

Tom Holland also thanked fans for their support of the released Spider-Man films.
