Secondupdate.com - The venue change for the DAY6 3RD WORLD TOUR in JAKARTA FOREVER YOUNG, which was initially scheduled at JIS (Jakarta International Stadium) and is now moved to Stadion Madya, has sparked protests from DAY6 fans, known as MyDay. The fans are disappointed because they feel the venue change is detrimental to them.
The venue change also led to changes in the seat plan. Those who had already purchased tickets based on the initial information feel that their seating arrangements no longer meet their expectations.
As a form of protest, MyDay, through the MyDay Berserikat community, created a petition on Change.org. They are asking the promoter, Mecimapro, to offer a full refund option for fans who feel disadvantaged. As of March 31, 2025, the petition has garnered more than 30,000 signatures.
Additionally, through the X account @mydayberserikat, they also shared the estimated losses experienced by fans. According to a survey conducted, there were 5,070 respondents who provided data on their losses. As of March 29, 2025, the estimated material losses reached IDR 19,223,403,946, covering concert ticket costs, transportation, and non-refundable accommodation.
If their request is not addressed by the promoter and the JYP Entertainment agency, MyDay Berserikat will respect the decision of the fans, whether they choose to attend the concert or sell their tickets as a form of protest. They are also committed to continuing to fight for the rights of fans as consumers.
Mecimapro, the concert promoter, had previously issued a statement regarding the petition. They expressed that they understand the complaints and disappointment from fans and apologized for the inconvenience caused. They explained that the venue change was made to ensure the smooth running of the event and to ensure the concert would proceed as scheduled on May 3, 2025. Despite this, they are working to improve any shortcomings to provide the best concert experience.
However, the statement from Mecimapro did not provide certainty regarding MyDay's request for a refund. As the promoter, Mecimapro has not opened up the option for refunds due to the venue change, as their terms and conditions specify that refunds are only given if the event is canceled. If the event is canceled, refunds will be processed by the promoter and ticket outlets under conditions that will be communicated further.
