Byeon Woo Seok Becomes a Victim of Fan Meeting Scam, Agency Issues Warning

Secondupdate.com – South Korean actor Byeon Woo Seok has fallen victim to identity misuse in a scam involving a fraudulent fan meeting.
Several irresponsible parties have falsely claimed exclusive rights to organize the event internationally, when in reality, they are only seeking personal gain.
In response, Varo Entertainment, Byeon Woo Seok’s agency, immediately issued a clarification. They emphasized that there is no collaboration with any third party in organizing international fan meetings for the actor.
"We have not granted exclusive rights or signed an agency contract with any third party regarding Byeon Woo Seok's fan meetings or other related events," the agency stated in a statement quoted in The Korea Times on Tuesday (March 25).
The agency also warned fans to be cautious of potential scams using their company's name. They urged the public to remain vigilant to avoid falling victim to illegal activities falsely claiming cooperation with the agency.
Byeon Woo Seok’s popularity has been rising after starring in tvN’s drama Lovely Runner. Thanks to his role in the series, he has become one of the most searched celebrities in South Korea.
Born in 1991, the actor has successfully held fan meetings in major Asian cities, including Bangkok, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Taipei, further solidifying his status as a global star.
Moving forward, Byeon Woo Seok is set to return to television in MBC’s upcoming drama Wife of a 21st Century Prince (tentative title), where he will star alongside renowned singer and actress IU.
Aside from acting, Byeon Woo Seok is also known as a commercial model. He currently represents over 20 major brands and has previously ranked first in brand reputation among advertising models.
