Synopsis of Newtopia Starring Jisoo of BLACKPINK, Premiering Today

Secondupdate.com – The latest Korean drama starring Jisoo of BLACKPINK, Newtopia, is set to premiere today, Friday (Feb 7). In this drama, Jisoo will star alongside Park Jeong Min.

Newtopia is a film that explores a zombie outbreak. While this genre is already popular in Korea, director Yoon Sung Hyun aims to bring something different to the table.

"I’ve always loved zombie-themed movies and series," the director stated in an official release.

"I’ve wanted to work on a zombie project for a long time. When I read this script, I was immediately captivated because the story was so exciting. I even started thinking about different props that could be used to protect oneself from zombie bites, from umbrellas to American football jerseys," Yoon Sung Hyun added.

Meanwhile, lead actor Park Jeong Min explained that this film is different from typical zombie movies. There will be plenty of thrilling action sequences for viewers to enjoy.

Additionally, Newtopia incorporates comedic elements that will entertain the audience. The film also features a romantic storyline between Jae Yoon and Young Joo.

"It's like a fairy tale wrapped in a zombie series. The characters face many challenges that help them grow. I believe the audience will root for them throughout the story," said Park Jeong Min.
