Sad News: Veteran Actress Lee Joo Shil Passes Away at 80

Secondupdate.com – Sad news has come from South Korean veteran actress Lee Joo Shil. She has reportedly passed away at the age of 80. It is known that Lee Joo Shil died after battling stomach cancer.

According to Koreaboo, the star of Squid Game 2 took her last breath on February 2 at 10:20 AM local time while receiving treatment at the hospital.

Reports state that Lee Joo Shil's funeral will be held at Sinchon Severance Hospital, with visitation open from February 3, and the final ceremony scheduled for February 5.

Last year, Lee Joo Shil shocked the public when she revealed that she had been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and that her time was limited.

She fought cancer for a decade and was eventually declared cancer-free. Unfortunately, the good news did not last long, as she was later diagnosed with cancer again.

On the other hand, Lee Joo Shil began her career in 1964 and gained recognition as both a voice actress and an on-screen performer. She started her journey through the second class of TBC’s voice acting program in 1965.
