Secondupdate.com – The online world was shocked by the news of Barbie Hsu's passing. According to several sources, Barbie Hsu passed away due to illness after a vacation with her family.

According to Mirror Media on Monday (Feb 3), she had another illness before contracting pneumonia. As reported, Barbie Hsu and her family arrived in Japan in late January 2025. Shortly after arriving in Hakone, she started coughing.

Barbie Hsu then decided not to go anywhere on January 30-31. On February 1, she sought medical consultation at a local hospital. Unfortunately, her condition did not improve, requiring her to be transferred to another hospital.

"She didn't go anywhere on January 30 and 31, and her condition kept worsening," a source said.

"After consulting a doctor on February 1, she went to a local hospital, but her condition did not improve, so she was taken to a larger hospital."

"There, she was diagnosed with Influenza A and given medication. Barbie Hsu was also allowed to go home," the source added.

After being discharged from the hospital, Barbie Hsu did not undergo any further medical treatment. As a result, her condition continued to deteriorate, and she was pronounced dead on February 2, 2025.

"However, she was later announced dead on February 2 at 7:00 AM," the source revealed.

As of this report, the exact cause of Barbie Hsu’s passing has not been officially confirmed. However, her younger sister, Dee Hsu, confirmed the sad news through her agency on Monday (Feb 3).

"Our entire family came to Japan for a vacation, and my dearest and kindest sister, Barbie Hsu, passed away due to pneumonia caused by influenza and sadly left us," Dee Hsu told Taiwan Focus on Monday (Feb 3).

"I am grateful to have been her sister in this life, to have cared for each other, and to have spent time together. I will always be thankful for her and miss her dearly!
