Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+ Promises More Brutal Action and Intensified Conflict

Secondupdate.com - After three seasons on Netflix (2015-2018), Marvel's hero Daredevil returns in a new series titled Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+.

This series is promised to be more intense than its predecessor, especially in terms of violence.

The showrunner of Daredevil: Born Again, Dario Scardapane, revealed that the level of violence in this series will be extremely high, even more brutal than anything seen in the Netflix version.

"The level of violence is very high for a Marvel series on Disney+. I don’t think anything else compares (even the baseball stadium scene). There are moments that are truly insane—and go beyond anything Netflix has ever done," said Daredevil: Born Again showrunner Dario Scardapane to Empire Online, as reported by Dark Horizons on Tuesday.

Although excessive violence can negatively impact a show's quality, fans are hoping that Scardapane’s statement holds true.

With a premiere date set for March 4, many are eagerly anticipating whether this series can meet the expectations of Marvel comic fans.

In addition to the heightened violence, Daredevil: Born Again will also present a more intense conflict between Daredevil and his arch-nemesis, Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin.

Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays Kingpin, stated that in this latest series, the major showdown between Daredevil and Kingpin won’t just happen at the end of the season like before.

"Look at how every past season ended—they fight, Kingpin gets imprisoned, and then he comes back. I didn’t want that anymore. Their dynamic now is far more intense. One scene in the first episode sets everything up, and the next eight episodes just get more dangerous," said Vincent.

Interestingly, in the Marvel universe, Kingpin is now the mayor of New York. This makes him even harder for Daredevil to defeat, adding to the tension in the storyline.

Daredevil fans are certainly eager to see Matt Murdock’s journey this time. Will Daredevil: Born Again truly surpass its predecessor? The answer will be revealed when the series premieres on March 4 on Disney+.
