SecondUpdate.com – Good news has arrived for NCT fans. Jaehyun has officially completed his mandatory military service on Sunday, May 3, after serving for approximately 1.5 years in the South Korean Army’s marching band. He began his service on November 4, 2024.
Jaehyun’s return was warmly welcomed by fans, known as NCTzens, who had been waiting outside the military base. A mix of emotional and joyful moments filled the air as he appeared in his military uniform.
This special moment was also attended by fellow NCT member Jungwoo, who is currently still serving in the military. Jungwoo was seen carrying a bouquet of flowers as a congratulatory gesture for Jaehyun’s completion of service. The two shared a warm moment in front of fans and the media.
With a friendly smile, Jaehyun greeted the fans who had arrived since early morning. He expressed his gratitude for the support he received throughout his service.
Without saying much, Jaehyun hinted that he would share more stories through a live broadcast in the near future. He also ended the meeting with a salute before leaving the location, which was met with enthusiastic cheers from fans.
Jaehyun becomes the second NCT member to complete his military service, following Taeyong, who finished his duty in December last year.
Meanwhile, two other members, Doyoung and Jungwoo, are still serving and are expected to complete their military duties around mid-2027.
Jaehyun’s return certainly brings new hope for NCT’s future activities. Fans are now looking forward to new works and performances from the idol following his official return from national duty.
