On Tuesday (Feb 24), several Korean media outlets reported that Song Kang is being considered for the male lead role in the upcoming series. The news was later confirmed by his agency, Namoo Actors. The agency stated that the actor has received the offer and is currently reviewing it.

White Scandal is based on a popular web series of the same name. The drama tells the story of Ji Eun Seol, a former child actress whose career was ruined due to a crime committed by her older brother. The scandal from her past drastically changed her life.

Despite hitting rock bottom, Eun Seol refuses to give up on her dreams. She chooses to work as a tour manager in order to survive and slowly rebuild her future. Along the way, she meets Dan Yi Hyuk, a man who turns out to be connected to the dark scandal from her past.

As time passes, Eun Seol begins uncovering hidden truths about Yi Hyuk and sets out to reveal the long-buried secrets.

Song Kang has been offered the role of Dan Yi Hyuk (also known as Dan Yu Hyuk), a top South Korean star who harbors a major secret. He is revealed to be the illegitimate son of the powerful NB Group conglomerate family.

To honor his late mother’s final wish that his name not be included among the company’s heirs, Yi Hyuk enters into a contractual relationship with Ji Eun Seol. Their arrangement becomes the starting point of both conflict and romance between them. With a premise that blends love, family secrets, and past scandals, White Scandal is expected to deliver an emotional and intense storyline.

The drama will be directed by Kim Chul Gyu, who is known for his work on the popular series Flower of Evil. Meanwhile, the script is written by Kim Ga Eun, the writer behind Call It Love.

The collaboration between an experienced director and writer has further heightened anticipation for the drama among K-drama fans.
