Agency Confirms Im Joo Hwan Once Worked at a Coupang Warehouse, Receives Praise from Netizens

SecondUpdate.com – Unexpected news has emerged about South Korean actor Im Joo Hwan. He recently became a topic of public discussion after rumors surfaced claiming that he had worked as a day laborer at a distribution center owned by e-commerce company Coupang.

The rumor began with a post on an online community forum. In the post, a user claimed to have personally seen Im Joo Hwan working at a Coupang distribution center in Icheon, Gyeonggi, around August last year.

According to the user, they even worked at the same location as the actor. The poster speculated that Im Joo Hwan may have taken the job because he did not have any acting projects at the time. 

The post quickly gained attention and was further supported by comments from other netizens who claimed to have seen the actor working at similar sites.

Several comments mentioned that Im Joo Hwan worked diligently and remained calm while on site. Some even said that a number of workers asked for his autograph. Many netizens also praised his humble attitude, noting that he did not appear embarrassed to take on such work despite being a well-known actor.

As the rumors continued to spread, his agency, Base Camp Company, finally addressed the matter on February 27. The agency confirmed that the reports were true and that Im Joo Hwan had indeed worked at the distribution center.

However, the agency did not provide detailed reasons behind his decision to take the job. It is known that after his drama project ended in 2023, Im Joo Hwan has not returned to television dramas.

For reference, Im Joo Hwan began his acting career in 2003 through the popular sitcom Nonstop. He later gained wider recognition through various dramas such as Boys Over Flowers, Oh My Ghostess, Uncontrollably Fond, The Bride of Habaek, and Ugly Alert.

His most recent drama project was Three Bold Siblings, which aired in 2023. Since then, he has remained active in the entertainment industry through theater performances and various variety shows.

The news has sparked mixed reactions from the public. Many people believe that Im Joo Hwan’s actions reflect a strong work ethic and professionalism, regardless of his status as a well-known actor.
