Mo Soo Jin, Vocalist of Acoustic Collabo, Passes Away

SecondUpdate.com – The South Korean music world is once again in mourning. Mo Soo Jin, the vocalist of the band Acoustic Collabo, has reportedly passed away suddenly. The news was officially confirmed by her agency, Panic Button.

In an official statement, the agency said that Mo Soo Jin breathed her last on January 25.

The passing of the young singer has left deep sorrow for her family, fellow group members, and fans alike.

The agency also expressed profound grief over Mo Soo Jin’s sudden death.

Mo Soo Jin’s funeral service was held on January 28 at 10:30 a.m. local time at Namyangju Eden Memorial Park.

The entire ceremony was conducted privately and attended only by family members, relatives, and close acquaintances, in accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family.

Regarding the cause of death, the agency emphasized that the family does not wish for this information to be made public. Panic Button asked the public to respect the family’s decision.

Mo Soo Jin was born in 1999 and began her career in the entertainment industry as an idol trainee. She gained wider recognition after joining Acoustic Collabo as a third-generation vocalist in 2020.

With the group, she participated in the release of their third full-length album titled Good to Be with You.

Acoustic Collabo initially started as a solo project by Kim Seung Jae before later evolving into a group with several changes in vocalists.

Following second-generation vocalists An Da Eun and Kim Kyu Nyeon, Mo Soo Jin brought a fresh color to the group’s musical journey.

The group’s career was marked by a legal dispute with their former agency in 2022.

The conflict led to a lengthy legal process, which ultimately concluded in 2024 when the Seoul Central District Court ruled in favor of the members.

After resolving the legal issues, Acoustic Collabo signed an exclusive contract with Panic Button in 2025 and resumed active musical activities.

In addition to her work with the group, Mo Soo Jin also pursued a solo career.

In June 2025, she released a single album titled Your Universe under her real name, as a step toward continuing her musical journey independently.

Mo Soo Jin’s passing at such a young age is undoubtedly a great loss to the music industry. Her works and her voice will continue to be remembered by listeners and fans.
