SecondUpdate.com – Good news comes from the Japanese anime world. The anime series titled Tamon’s B-Side has been officially confirmed to premiere at the end of 2025.
This information was reported by Crunchyroll News on December 22, 2025.
The anime carries a romantic comedy genre with a fresh and unconventional storyline. The main character is Utage Kinoshita, a high school girl who lives a simple life while working part-time as a housekeeper.
Behind her seemingly ordinary daily routine, Utage turns out to be a devoted fan of Tamon Fukuhara, a member of a popular boy band called F/ACE.
The story begins to develop when Utage unexpectedly lands a job working at her idol’s house. From this moment, the unique story of Tamon’s B-Side unfolds. Utage gradually witnesses a different side of Tamon that has long been hidden from the public eye.
Contrary to his on-stage image, energetic, confident, and full of charm, Tamon is portrayed in his everyday life as a quiet person who is easily discouraged, tends to be introverted, and often lacks self-confidence.
This revelation naturally comes as a surprise to Utage. However, instead of diminishing her admiration, it strengthens her resolve to support her idol sincerely from behind the scenes.
Fan enthusiasm for the anime has been evident since the release of its official trailer on Crunchyroll’s YouTube channel about two weeks prior to the publication of this article.
The trailer has attracted significant attention, amassing more than 188,000 views.
In addition to the trailer, Crunchyroll also unveiled the latest visual of the boy band F/ACE, which plays an important role in the story.
The visual depicts the group performing in front of their fans, reinforcing the idol entertainment world that serves as the anime’s main setting.
Interestingly, the voice actors of the F/ACE members Kakeru Hatano, Shoya Chiba, Tasuku Hatanaka, Kohei Amasaki, and Ryuho Nagaoka will also perform both the opening and ending theme songs for Tamon’s B-Side. This certainly adds extra appeal for fans of both music and anime.
Tamon’s B-Side is an adaptation of a romantic comedy manga by Yuki Shiwasu.
In Japan, the manga is known as Tamon-kun Ima Docchi!? and has been serialized since October 2021 in Hana to Yume, a shojo magazine published by Hakusensha. To date, the manga has been compiled into seven volumes.
Meanwhile, Viz Media, which handles the English version, describes the story as a tale of Tamon, who struggles with deep insecurities in real life and even contemplates leaving the entertainment industry.
However, Utage, as his loyal fan, is determined not to let anyone including Tamon’s own doubts stand in the way of his dreams.
With its blend of romance, comedy, and a realistic portrayal of an idol’s life, Tamon’s B-Side is expected to become one of the most highly anticipated anime releases toward the end of the year.
