Secondupdate.com – Universal Pictures has officially released the first trailer for Nobody 2, the sequel to the popular 2021 action film Nobody.
Actor Bob Odenkirk returns as Hutch Mansell, a seemingly ordinary father who turns out to be a former hitman.
In this sequel, Hutch tries to live a normal life and takes his wife and children on a vacation to an amusement park. However, their holiday takes a deadly turn when Hutch becomes the target of a corrupt sheriff and a ruthless crime boss.
Actor Colin Hanks plays the corrupt sheriff, while Sharon Stone appears as the merciless crime boss.
Connie Nielsen reprises her role as Becca, Hutch's wife, and actor John Ortiz joins the cast as a new character.
In addition, two actors from the first film, RZA and Christopher Lloyd, also return to reprise their roles.
Interestingly, Indonesian director Timo Tjahjanto, known for his brutally intense action films, has been entrusted to direct Nobody 2. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on August 15, 2025.
The trailer itself showcases intense and brutal action scenes, still laced with Hutch’s signature dark humor.
One standout moment from the trailer features Hutch saying, “I’m on a goddamn vacation,” as he takes down his enemies.
The film not only delivers thrilling action, but also delves into Hutch’s inner conflict as he continues to grapple with his past as a killer. The script was written by Derek Kolstad, who penned the first film, along with Aaron Rabin.
Besides playing the lead role, Bob Odenkirk also returns as a producer alongside David Leitch and Kelly McCormick.
This sequel is expected to replicate the success of the original film, which received widespread praise upon its 2021 release.
