Secondupdate.com – Rosé, one of the members of the globally renowned K-pop group BLACKPINK, has been named one of TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2025.

The list features notable figures from various fields, including entertainment, sports, and politics. In the prestigious list released on Wednesday (April 16), Rosé was recognized in the Pioneers category. Her profile in the issue was written by actress and producer Lily Collins, who served as a guest contributor.

According to Lily Collins, Rosé is a sincere, humble, yet incredibly impressive figure.

“She’s a dynamic singer and songwriter, and I think it’s amazing that she can captivate audiences in packed arenas both as a member of the world’s biggest girl group and as a solo artist,” said Collins, who described herself as a BLACKPINK fan.

“She’s basically the definition of an icon and a boss. Her voice is so powerful, and her music is incredibly fun. I love texting her whenever I hear ‘APT’ or ‘Toxic Till the End’ on the radio,” she added.

Lily also shared that their friendship began after meeting at a Saint Laurent event in Paris last year. They sat next to each other and talked all night about everything from fashion and architecture to food and travel.

Rosé made her debut as the main vocalist of BLACKPINK in 2016 and began her solo career in 2021 with an album titled R. The title track, On The Ground, topped the Billboard Global 200 chart.

In addition, Rosé's collaboration with Bruno Mars on the song APT achieved significant milestones. The music video became one of the fastest to reach 900,000 views on YouTube, achieving the feat in just 92 days and 15 hours after its release on October 18, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. KST.
