Secondupdate.com – Shocking news has emerged from the entertainment world. Actor Manuel Masalva, known for his role as Ramón Arellano Félix in the series Narcos: Mexico, is currently in a coma due to an aggressive bacterial infection he contracted while on vacation.
The information was shared by his close friend, actor Mario Moran, through a video that quickly went viral on social media.
In the video, Moran stated that Manuel is fighting for his life and is currently hospitalized far from his home.
“My brother is fighting for his life far from home,” he said, pointing to a GoFundMe page that has been set up to help cover Manuel’s medical expenses.
Moran also said that Manuel’s condition remains very critical and the cost of treatment is extremely high. He encouraged anyone who can help to donate—no matter how small the amount.
“Even the smallest help can make a huge difference in this difficult time,” he said.
Quoting Page Six on Sunday (April 6, 2025), the media outlet reported that they had reached out to Manuel’s representatives but had not yet received a response.
On the GoFundMe page, it was explained that although Manuel’s condition remains critical, the medical team has successfully identified the type of bacteria attacking his body.
He is currently undergoing antibiotic treatment, and doctors are waiting for a positive response from his body.
As of now, donations have reached 1 million Mexican pesos, or approximately Rp 810 million (Indonesian rupiah).
“Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far. Your support means the world to Manuel and those who love him,” wrote the GoFundMe team.
