Secondupdate.com - The rivalry between Kendrick Lamar and Drake is far from over. This time, Drake has filed a lawsuit against Kendrick Lamar over the song Not Like Us, which is allegedly filled with disses aimed at him.
Drake even attempted to prevent Kendrick from performing the song at the 2025 Super Bowl.
However, a surprising new development has emerged. Universal Music Group (UMG), the label behind Not Like Us, has dismissed Drake's lawsuit as nothing more than a gimmick.
Quoting Billboard on Tuesday (March 25, 2025), UMG stated that Drake's legal action only proves that he has lost the "rap war" against Kendrick Lamar.
Additionally, UMG pointed out that Drake should not be suing his own label. Interestingly, UMG emphasized that both Drake and Kendrick have used the same label to release diss tracks aimed at each other. In other words, they are no different.
As expected, Drake has officially sued Kendrick for performing Not Like Us at the 2025 Super Bowl.
However, Kendrick doesn’t seem too bothered. In fact, he deliberately dropped numerous clues in his song pointing directly at Drake.
With tensions escalating, fans are left wondering: Is this lawsuit truly serious, or is it just a publicity stunt? What do you think?
